A Recipe and a Psalm
It’s August, and late summer is officially upon us. I can feel the creep of autumn as “back-to-school” advertisements launch, fall decorations line the shelves in stores, and I’ve found myself dreaming about cozy fall recipes
However, I have committed to enjoying summer in all its glory and not rushing ahead. I don’t want to let the anticipation of what’s next steal the beauty of today.
Below is a summer recipe you can make to extend the joy of the season and savor the lovely bounty it produces. Creamy Lemonade is a delicious combination of tart and creamy, providing a refreshing yet cozy sipping experience.
This Creamy Lemonade comes from the blog Every Little Crumb which is linked here. You can download this recipe card by clicking here.
Please let me know if you make it!
Lastly, as my family continues to walk through a challenging season, Psalm 23 has brought me supernatural comfort and peace as I read through it again recently. I am leaving it here for you to meditate on, and I pray you feel His peace as well.
The Lord is our Shepherd, we have all we need.
Psalm 23
The Good Shepherd
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd;
I have what I need.
2 He lets me lie down in green pastures;
he leads me beside quiet waters.
3 He renews my life;
he leads me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even when I go through the darkest valley,
I fear no danger,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff—they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Only goodness and faithful love will pursue me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
as long as I live.
